Kristin Bulger, MC is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC #3725) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from University of Victoria, and a Master’s of Counselling degree from City University of Seattle. Kristin is also a trained and certified yoga instructor and integrates a mind-body approach to healing and wellness.
Kristin believes that people are resilient and carry with them an innate capacity to heal. She works from a client-centered perspective, meaning she tailors her approach with each individual’s goals and strengths in mind, seeing the counselling process as a collaboration between client and counsellor. She draws from various counselling approaches including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, trauma and attachment theories, somatic experiencing (SE), and strength-based approaches. Her counselling style recognizes that people are highly interconnected beings, both internally and externally. Vitality and balance emerge through relationships with our external worlds, and when we connect the inner wisdoms of our mind, body and spirit. Kristin believes that a trusting client-counsellor relationship is at the heart of any success in this work, and she builds strong relationships with her clients based on compassion, confidentiality, and a non-judgmental approach. Kristin is happy to offer a free 30-mintue consultation to ensure she is the right fit for you.
