Founded by Graham Robertson and sponsored by Acacia Health, the Cycle of Life Tour has been raising awareness and financial support for hospice care on Vancouver Island since 2011, and has raised over $1.5 million for hospice care.
The Cycle of Life Tour is an annual group cycling event. Riders from all over B.C. cover 200 km in two days, passing through the scenic South Island and enjoying an overnight stay on Salt Spring Island.
Each year, approximately 125 devoted cyclists, 30 plus volunteers and more than 20 committed sponsors come together to make a difference for our community hospice care societies.
Acacia Health has been sponsoring the event since the first group ride in 2013. Acacia’s contributions, along with that of other sponsors, ensure the Cycle of Life Tour can run as a zero-overhead event, enabling 100 per cent of proceeds to go directly to hospice care in our communities.
2022 Acacia Health Krebs Cyclers
The Acacia Krebs Cyclers are Acacia Health’s Cycle of Life Tour team. In 2022, they raised over $5,000 in pledges and had an awesome time riding in the event.

Hospice care is an under recognized service that relies largely on funding by community donors and fundraising events. Their essential services include end-of-life palliative care, counselling, bereavement support and at home patient care for individuals of any age with a terminal condition and their families.
The Victoria Hospice Society has an 18-bed in-patient facility located at the Royal Jubilee Hospital. More information on hospice care and the Victoria Hospice is available at www.victoriahospice.org.
