At Acacia we provide primary health care for women of all ages and sexual orientations which includes complete physical exams, pap smears and breast exams. We also offer STI/STD testing.
FemCap
The FemCap is a silicon cervical cap and a non-hormonal barrier form of birth control. An award winning device for its smart design, the FemCap is:
- Reusable for one year
- Made from non-allergenic, durable, surgical-grade silicone
- Designed to cover the cervix to prevent sperm from entering
- Proven in clinical trials to be over 92% effective in the prevention of pregnancy
- The FemCap is woman-controlled birth control. It is safe, effective, and with proper use it does not interrupt intimacy.

What to expect:
Fitting visits are 30 minutes for existing naturopathic patients and 45 minutes for new patients (if you have not yet seen one of our NDs). They include education on best use, a pelvic exam to make sure it is appropriate for you and a fitting. At the end of the visit you will go home confident you can use this device effectively.
To be effective, the FemCap must be used with spermicide. We have a spermicide product called Contragel in our dispensary that works well with the FemCap and can be purchased at the end of your visit.
