Massage Therapy is a safe and effective approach to pain management and rehabilitation, in addition to relieving stress to promote an overall feeling of relaxation. It involves manipulating the muscles and soft tissues in the body using different pressures, movements and techniques.

The goal of Massage Therapy is to calm down your nervous system to release stress and tension, help relieve physical symptoms, heal injuries and support wellness.

Massage Therapy is a safe and effective treatment approach for a wide variety of concerns including, but not limited to:

Initial massage appointments: About 1 hour

During this time your therapist will:

  • Listen to your health history
  • Focus on the areas you feel need the most attention
  • Discuss the treatment model
  • Identify your goals
  • Make a physical assessment
  • Give a massage therapy treatment

After your treatment, your Massage Therapist may provide some home-care suggestions.

Follow-up appointments:

Your therapist will recommend an appropriate amount of time for a follow-up appointment based on your personalized treatment plan. This can vary from session to session, typically 60 minutes is most common.
