Knowing who to see when you’re injured can be challenging. Most injuries can benefit from treatment by practitioners who work closely together to achieve the best results. This is where acupuncture and chiropractic care shine!

At Acacia Health, we offer Traditional, Orthopedic and Neuro acupuncture. Traditional acupuncture uses channels to access and release pain from any part of the body. Orthopedic acupuncture targets tight and painful muscles, while neuro acupuncture targets nerve distribution patterns. These treatments help alleviate pain, reduce inflammation, and improve circulation, which can be particularly effective for muscle strains, tendonitis, nerve pain, and limited range of motion due to muscle tension.

Chiropractic care focuses on the musculoskeletal system, especially the spine, joints and nerves, aiming to restore range of motion and joint function. Determining the cause of muscular pain, nerve pain or limited function is a chiropractor’s specialty. Chiropractors use hands-on adjustments to create a positive neurologic response that can reduce pain and enhance mobility, benefiting conditions like sprains, strains, disc injuries and joint dysfunction commonly seen in sports injuries, providing tools to restore or improve mobility.

When combined, these therapies create a one-two punch for treating both the muscles and joints. We both agree that getting an acupuncture treatment before a chiropractic adjustment is optimal but not necessary as we will still get fantastic results either way. Alleviating all structures involved in an injury gives you the optimal opportunity to heal faster and allows you to get back to what you love quicker.
