As summer is here, this is a perfect frozen treat to enjoy!! You may have seen this viral recipe on social media, and now you can easily recreate it in your kitchen with just a few simple ingredients.

What makes these clusters so special? The plain Greek yogurt provides a creamy and protein-rich base, while the fresh strawberries add a burst of sweetness and fibre to keep you feeling satisfied. A touch of honey lends natural sweetness without the need for refined sugars. Let’s not forget the chocolate! Rich-semi sweet chocolate chips add a decadent layer to these clusters, making them truly delicious.

The best part? No baking is required – simply mix, freeze and enjoy! For a little extra flavour consider sprinkling some sea salt on top of the clusters. These chocolate strawberry yogurt clusters are sure to become a new favourite for any summer gathering or a refreshing snack on a hot day!

    Chocolate Strawberry Yogurt Clusters

Preparation time: 15-20 minutes + 1-2 hours for freezing
Serves: 6-10 clusters depending on how big you make them

    • 1 ½ cups – Fresh strawberries, chopped
    • 1 cup – Plain Greek yogurt (or flavour of your choice)
    • 1 tbsp – Honey
    • 1 tsp – Vanilla
    • 1 cup – Semi-sweet chocolate chips
    • 2 tbsp – Coconut oil
    1. In a large bowl, combine the chopped strawberries, plain Greek yogurt, honey, and vanilla
    2. Place about 2 tbsp of the yogurt mixture on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet to form the clusters. There should be about 6-10 clusters depending on the size you make them
    3. Place the baking sheet in the freezer. Freeze for about 1-2 hours, until the clusters are frozen and solid
    4. Once the clusters are frozen, melt the chocolate and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl for 15-30 second intervals, or with a double-boiler on the stove. Stir the chocolate in between each interval until the chocolate is melted. The coconut oil will help make the chocolate thin and smooth which is essential for dipping!
    5. Remove the clusters from the freezer and dip each one into the melted chocolate. You may use a spoon to help coat the cluster. Place each chocolate-covered cluster back onto the baking sheet. Consider adding some sea salt for extra flavour
    6. Place the clusters back in the freezer for a few minutes until the chocolate hardens and enjoy!

Consider making these clusters with a different type of fruit such as mango, raspberries or blueberries. You could also try adding in chopped nuts, granola or coconut. I recommend storing these in the freezer rather than in the fridge. I find when I store them in the fridge, they tend to melt and get messy.
