Plate of no-bake energy balls

If you are struggling to find a healthy and nourishing snack, these no bake energy bites are the perfect option! They are quick and easy to make, with relatively simple ingredients. You can also keep these energy bites in the freezer for up to three months, making them easy to have on hand for a healthy choice.

A Satisfying Snack

The rolled oats provide slow-digesting carbohydrates that deliver steady energy, which can help prevent mid-afternoon energy crashes. The combination of protein from peanut butter and protein powder, and the fibre from the oats and flaxseed, also makes this a satiating snack. This helps to manage your hunger levels throughout the day.

      Omega-3 Fatty Acids

Omega-3 fats are essential fatty acids that are important for immune function and lowering risk of heart disease. They are also important for brain, nerve, and eye development in infants. You can find omega-3 in foods such as fish, nuts, canola and soybean oils, and flaxseed. By adding flaxseed to the energy bites, it provides a boost of both omega-3 and fibre, making a heart healthy option.
