Overview
Unlike off-the-shelf braces, a custom knee brace is a personalized orthopedic device that helps to relieve your pain by redistributing pressure from the painful area of your knee joint to a healthier area.
A custom knee brace can help you if you are:
- Waiting for or recovering from knee surgery
- Talking with your doctor about possible future knee repair or replacement surgery
- Dealing with knee pain and aren’t able to perform your everyday activities
- Looking for additional support during rehabilitation
- Hoping to feel more confident in your movements

A custom knee brace is a specialized tool designed to treat pain in the joint, ligaments, tendons or muscles in your knee.
It works by transferring weight from a damaged area of the knee to a stronger part of the joint. The brace applies a three-point pressure system that shifts the weight you’re carrying, realigns the joint, and alleviates pressure on the damaged surfaces. This reduces bone-on-bone contact and inflammation that then relieves pain.
Each brace is made specifically to match your unique leg shape and size, which helps increase comfort and provides more effective support and stability. From the measurements and images of your leg, a mold and 3D scan are used to create a brace that perfectly conforms to your specific knee.
Custom knee braces are designed for comfort, long-term use, and low-profile wear—they’re made to support movement, not limit it. Most people adjust quickly and can wear them under loose pants during daily activities and/or physical activities like walking, golfing and light sports.
A custom knee brace can help you if you have:
- Unicompartmental osteoarthritis (OA) – medial or lateral,
- Meniscal injuries,
- Knee alignment issues, or
- Require post-surgical support
