Core Training
for (People with) Back Pain

A summer workshop series to bridge the gap between rehabilitation and real-life. 

Core strength helps people be more stable and less susceptible to injury. This class is designed to help you protect your spine by understanding your personal pain triggers and learning how to avoid them. It is a systematic approach to strengthening your core that helps people improve their rehabilitation outcomes and back pain management.

I’m Katie Chesher, Acacia’s resident Kinesiologist.

This spinal stabilization workshop series will focus exclusively on education and teaching you the skills and tactics required to build a strong foundation for a resilient core. 

Week 1 – Diaphragmatic Breathing & Postural Education
Week 2 – Finding Neutral Spinal Alignment in Different Body Positions: Education & Practice
Week 3 – Creating a Spinal Brace: Education & Skills
Week 4 – Review of Skills, Core Integration: Movement & Flow
