Gillian moved from the UK to Victoria in 2012. She has worked as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist since 1998 and specialized in the field of persistent pain having worked extensively with spine and joint conditions, work-related injuries, performance arts and sports injuries and complex pain. She has enjoyed time overseas, including voluntary hospital work in the Himalayas and on the ski fields of New Zealand.
She believes that through our injuries and pain, we can become even stronger than before and discover new possibilities for ourselves in the process.
Gillian brings a blend of manual therapy, education and movement to her treatments. She prioritizes listening intently to a patient’s story, offering up-to-date information and allowing individuals to take charge of their own recovery all along the way.
Gillian is also a Certified Yoga teacher and a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction teacher (MBSR), certified through the Center for Mindfulness, Massachusetts. Both methods can be integrated into her Physiotherapy sessions where appropriate.
