Dr. Dan Collins is a Victoria-born, evidence-based chiropractor who, from an early age grew to love the outdoors, competitive sports, and health and wellness. Dan’s passion for healthy living combined with a fascination with the mechanics of the human body sparked a desire to pursue a career in healthcare.
While completing his Bachelor of Science in Athletic and Exercise Therapy at Camosun, Dan worked with a wide spectrum of fitness enthusiasts, ranging from weekend warriors to competitive collegiate-level athletes. In the pursuit of more knowledge, Dan moved to Portland, Oregon where he proudly obtained both his Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and Doctor of Chiropractic degrees from the University of Western States (UWS). Throughout his training at UWS, Dan worked with patients of various backgrounds, at all different stages of rehabilitation to help them both define and attain their health-related goals. Dan’s education and training solidified his belief that conservative care options should always be considered first when addressing neuromusculoskeletal complaints and reinforced how important functional movement is to overall health.
Since graduating, Dan has worked in integrative clinics to better serve the surrounding communities and stays up to date by attending continuing education courses and consulting the latest research. Dan is a diversified practitioner specializing in spinal health, persistent pain, sports injuries, exercise rehabilitation, and personalized care. Using current scientific literature as a guide, Dan utilizes functional assessments to identify underlying issues and employs a combination of joint manipulation/mobilization, various soft tissue therapies, corrective exercise prescription, and activity modification to restore proper function and aid the body in healing naturally.
Outside the clinic, Dan enjoys hiking, camping, and exploring BC’s beautiful outdoors with his best friend/dog, Rocko.
