We are currently looking for a fantastic person to join the administrative team at our busy clinic! This is a unique opportunity to join both the Patient Care Coordinator team at Acacia and placement as a casual Patient Care Coordinator for The FNC (www.familynaturopathicclinic.org) a naturopathic teaching clinic providing free care to young low income families.
Acacia Health is a busy multi-practitioner alternative health clinic with two locations in beautiful Vic West. Our Westside Village Shopping Centre location offers treatment with Massage Therapists, Chiropractor, Kinesiologists, Physiotherapist & Osteopathic Manual Practitioners. This site combined with our original space that offers treatment with Naturopathic Doctors, Dietician, Counsellors, and infrared sauna (located in the Dockside Green Building just a block away). We form a friendly team of talented health care professionals who provide individualized, complementary and alternative healthcare in a team setting. At Acacia, we believe that true health and healing involves mind, body, and spirit. We are committed to creating collaborative partnerships with every client in order to establish a responsive, caring and compassionate foundation for healing and positive change.
Acacia Dockside houses the FNC every other Saturday. They have been providing free naturopathic care since early 2007. They do this because they believe strongly that everyone should have access to naturopathic medicine regardless of income.
The FNC is a partnership between Dr. Amy Gilchrist, ND, Dr. Kristin Schnurr, ND, Acacia Health, and Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine. The FNC exists solely on the generosity of its partners and generous members of the community, although this is a paid position.
As we are looking for a candidate interested in being a Patient Care Coordinator for both Acacia and the FNC, there are 2 descriptions as follows:
At Acacia Health,we are offering a part time administration position, approximately 20-30 hours a week, with flexibility in shifts, and potential room for growth. The FNC role is unique as you would be a casual administrator (filling in for vacation and illness for the current FNC administrator) for the organization. The clinic runs every other Saturday.
We are looking for a friendly, highly organized individual to join our front end team. Office experience is an extreme asset, but not necessarily required. An interest in natural and alternative health, however, IS required. We are looking for someone who has a schedule that could, if necessary, have some flexibility to provide coverage for short-notice sick days, as well as occasional days off and holidays (with plenty of notice).
If this position seems like a great fit for you, please email us your resume AND cover letter explaining WHY you are perfect for this unique opportunity to firstname.lastname@example.org!
Are you a talented administrative wizard? Let us know! If shortlisted, we will send you a more detailed job description at that time. No phone calls please. ONLY EMAIL YOUR COVER LETTER & RESUME PLEASE. Sorry, due to high volume of responses, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
We are hoping to commence training for the Acacia Health position ASAP and offer training hours for The FNC in the not too distant future!
