A graduate from the West Coast College of Massage in 2013, Sarah is delighted to be a part of the Acacia Integrative Health team. She believes strongly in the use of the various modalities of massage therapy to create balance in body and mind.
The focus of Sarah’s practice is in the use of myofascial release and muscle energy techniques to effectively treat common complaints such as headaches, back and shoulder pain as well as pelvic and sacroiliac alignment.
A special area of interest for Sarah is the maintenance and prevention of attacks in gastrointestinal conditions such as Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. The use of myofascial release is very helpful in the management of abdominal scar tissue post surgery.
Sarah has a history as a classical musician, and so understands the importance of biomechanics and muscle balance for performance as well as daily activities to prevent injury and pain.
Vancouver Island is an amazing place and Sarah tries to experience as much of it as possible through kayaking, hiking and camping whenever she can.
