Marina is a registered nurse with the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia. Although her training has been mostly as an acute care nurse in the hospital setting, Marina has always had a passion for preventative healthcare and holistic medicine. She believes that when allopathic and naturopathic healthcare is used in conjunction patients have optimal health outcomes.
Her background includes a Bilingual French Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Alberta in her hometown of Edmonton, Alberta. Her experience in nursing has primarily been focused in neurology, as she has always been fascinated by the brain and the mind body connection. She has gained valuable experience working with patients with a multitude of neurological conditions such as strokes, spinal cord injuries, brain tumours, multiple sclerosis and epilepsy. Marina currently works as an RN at Victoria General Hospital in Neurosciences.
Marina is thrilled to join the interdisciplinary team at Acacia Health. She will be providing intravenous treatments such as Chelation Therapy and Vitamin C. Marina is excited to further her nursing career in primary health care and natural medicine. In a few years’ time, Marina plans on becoming a Nurse Practitioner.
In her leisure time, Marina enjoys nature and outdoor pursuits like hiking, biking and skiing to stay active. In addition, she is interested in mindfulness practices such as yoga and meditation, and loves cooking vegetarian meals.
